Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz FestivalThu, Aug 4th, 2011 to Sun, Aug 7th, 2011Davenport, IA Food, refreshments, souvenirs, tapes and CDs are available at the venues. The outdoor venue at LeClaire Park features a food court, an outstanding band shell, bust of Bix and historic plaques, water and restrooms, and a grandstand seat for action on the Mississippi River. There will be nine of the nations top jazz bands alternating at the four venues throughout the festival. Also demonstrating their jazz proficiency will be members of the Bix Jazz Society Youth Band, carriers of the torch for the next generation.
