Texas Championship Native American Pow WowSat, Nov 12th, 2011 to Sun, Nov 13th, 20117979 North Eldridge Road Traders Village - Houston Houston, TX A two-day Native American Pow Wow with colorful tribal dance contests, an Indian artist and traders arts & crafts tent, teepee’s, visiting with old friends, making new ones, honoring ceremonies, singing, dancing and much more will be part of this years Annual Texas Championship Indian Pow Wow. The event will take place at Traders Village Houston on Saturday and Sunday, November 13 & 14 and presented by the Dallas-Fort Worth Inter-Tribal Association. Several hundred Native Americans, representing dozens of tribes from across the United States will take part in this celebration of culture and heritage. Dancers in full regalia of feathers, buckskin, bells and beadwork will be competing for prize money and awards in eighteen different dance categories. Participants will range in age from two-year old toddler’s to grandmothers in their 80's.
