Mountain Makins

The Mountain Makins festival is a folk life/crafts festival celebrating the traditions of Appalachia. The festival brings together the best in regional musical talents, fine art, juried crafts, Appalachian storytelling, regional authors, skilled demonstrations, a variety of delicious food, children's activities and more. The festival takes place inside and outside the Rose Center, an 1892 school building which is now an historical museum and cultural arts center.
