Garlic FestivalSat, Aug 6th, 2011 to Sun, Aug 7th, 2011670 Route 14 Penn Yan, NY Summer in the Finger Lakes wouldn't be the same without a stop at Fox Run Vineyards in August for the winery's annual celebration of all things garlic. The Annual Glorious Garlic Festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6 and 7, on the grounds at Fox Run Vineyards. Garlic will be the guest of honor at Fox Run's two-day festival, overlooking Seneca Lake. Admission free, the Garlic Festival will feature over 30 vendors including 12 garlic vendors offering their freshest cool-climate garlic and garlic foods and products, homemade ice cream, oils and dipping sauces, hot sauces and marinades, maple syrup, local farmstead cheese, jewelry, artworks and locally roasted coffee. Activities will include glass blowing demonstrations by the Corning Museum of Glass, garlic-inspired cooking demonstrations and lectures, which are always interesting and a big hit. Fabulous live music will include the favorite Dee Specker and her band The Lone Rangers and The Castle Street Band from Geneva. And of course Fox Run Vineyards award winning, hand-crafted wine will be among the other attractions of the festival.
