Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival

Each year, over 200,000 people attend this dazzling display showcasing the color and grace of the Japanese culture and the diversity of the Japanese American Community. The U.S./Japan Taiko Festival is always a sold-out venue. On Sunday, the Grand Parade proceeds up Polk to Post Street, and ends in Japantown. At the finale of the parade is the Taru Mikoshi, that will be hoisted by over one hundred individuals. During these two weekends we encourage you to savor the taste, listen to the sounds and see the rich colors that make the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival unique.
